Jersey Giants are a large chicken, with hens weighing up to 10 lbs. Ours are typically more in the 7-8lb range, but they are slow growing and take about 18 months to reach that weight. They have friendly dispositions. Please note that as this is a slow growing breed, pullets take extra time to feather out and they typically aren't compeletely feathered until 12 weeks. They are still find sleeping outside and do not need supplemental heat.
